The IT8500G+ series is a high – performance programmable DC electronic load meticulously crafted for a wide range of testing applications. It stands out with its exceptional features and capabilities, making it an indispensable tool in the development and production of various electronic products.

Product Features

  1. Diverse Operating Modes: It offers 7 distinct operating modes, namely CC (Constant Current)/CV (Constant Voltage)/CR (Constant Resistance)/CW (Constant Power)/CR + CC/CV + CC/CR – LED. This wide variety of modes caters to different testing requirements, providing flexibility for engineers and technicians.
  2. Ripple Measurement Function: With a built – in voltage and current ripple measurement function and a sampling bandwidth of up to 300kHz, it can accurately measure the voltage and current ripple of the Device Under Test (DUT). Excessive ripple can interfere with the DUT or reduce its lifespan, and the IT8500G+ helps to ensure that products meet the required ripple standards. The remote sense function further eliminates the impact of line voltage drop, allowing for more accurate measurements. Users can directly read the voltage ripple values (Vp – p/Vp+/Vp – ) and current ripple values (Ipp/Ip+/Ip – ) of the DUT by pressing the ‘down’ button on the front panel, simplifying the testing process.

Rich Fast – Charging Protocols: Built – in with 8 fast – charging communication protocols, including QC2.0, QC3.0, PE+, PE2.0+, USB PD2.0, USB PD3.0, FCP, SCP (this function is only available in IT8511G+). As mobile phone functions increase, battery power consumption becomes faster, and fast – charging technology is crucial. The IT8500G+ can complete tests for adapters with different protocols. In the automatic test mode, it can verify the performance of fast – charging adapters under various charging processes such as no – load voltage, short – circuit current, constant voltage, and constant current.
  4. High – Speed Dynamic Mode: The dynamic mode can reach up to 20kHz, enabling it to test the dynamic performance of power supplies and batteries effectively. This is essential for evaluating how products respond to rapid changes in load conditions.
  5. High Measurement Resolution: It has a measurement resolution of up to 0.1mV / 0.1mA, ensuring high – precision measurements. This level of accuracy is vital for detecting even the slightest variations in voltage and current during testing.
  6. Professional Multi – Channel Mode: Designed for optimizing system integration, the multi – channel mode allows for cascading up to 16 devices. This feature simplifies communication connections and reduces the cost of burn – in testing. There is no need to purchase expensive communication modules or interface expansion cards. For example, in a 60 – channel burn – in test, using the IT8500G+’s multi – channel mode can save the cost of 8 expansion switches, providing a more efficient Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solution.

Comprehensive Test Functions: It comes with OPP (Over – Power Protection)/OCP (Over – Current Protection) test functions, which are suitable for testing the protection functions of power modules. The battery discharge mode provides three cut – off conditions: time, voltage, and capacity, facilitating battery discharge testing. The automatic test function is widely used in adapter testing, and the list function can simulate complex current carrier waveforms, meeting the needs of complex testing scenarios. Additionally, it has a current monitoring function that enables easy current waveform monitoring (0 – 10V) without the need for an expensive current probe, and a short – circuit mode/measure function.
