The SIGLENT SDG6000X series is a high – performance line of dual – channel Pulse/Arbitrary Waveform Generators, engineered to meet the complex and demanding needs of various applications.
Technical Specifications
- Bandwidth and Amplitude: With a maximum bandwidth of 500 MHz (SDG6052X), the series can handle high – frequency signal generation tasks. The maximum output amplitude of 20 Vpp ensures sufficient signal strength, and the 80 dB dynamic range enables high – fidelity output, minimizing distortion across different signal levels.
- Sampling Rate and Resolution: Equipped with a high – performance sampling system featuring a 2.4 GSa/s sampling rate and 16 – bit vertical resolution, the SDG6000X series can accurately capture and reproduce waveforms with exceptional precision. This high – resolution sampling ensures that even the most intricate waveform details are faithfully represented.
- Waveform Length: Each channel has a waveform length of 20 Mpts, providing enough memory to store and generate complex waveforms. This is beneficial for applications that require the use of long and detailed waveforms, such as in advanced signal processing and testing scenarios.
Key Features
- Innovative Technologies: The SDG6000X series incorporates proprietary TrueArb & EasyPulse technology. These technologies overcome the limitations of traditional DDS generators when generating arbitrary, square, and pulse waveforms. The EasyPulse circuit, in particular, reduces jitter and enhances pulsed performance, making it ideal for applications that demand precise pulse generation, like semiconductor testing.
- Rich Waveform Generation Capabilities: It comes with 196 built – in arbitrary waveforms, which can be used as a starting point for custom waveform creation or directly in various applications. The series also supports functions such as Sweep, Burst, Harmonics, and Waveform Combining. These functions are useful for frequency response testing, generating pulsed signals, analyzing harmonic content, and creating complex composite waveforms respectively.
- Channel – related Functions: The series offers Channel Coupling, Copy, and Tracking functions. Channel coupling allows for the interaction between the two channels, while the copy function enables quick replication of settings between channels. The tracking function ensures that both channels can be controlled in a coordinated manner, which is useful for applications that require synchronized multi – channel signal generation.
- IQ Signal Generation (Optional): The SDG6000X series can create baseband and IF IQ modulated waveforms (with an optional feature). It supports basic modulation and an arbitrary symbol rate between 250 Symb/s to 37.5 MSymb/s. This makes it suitable for applications in communication systems testing, where IQ modulation is crucial for simulating and analyzing complex signals.
- High – Precision Frequency Counter: A built – in high – precision frequency counter provides accurate frequency measurement capabilities. It can measure the frequency of the generated signals as well as external input frequencies, adding to the device’s versatility and enabling users to verify the frequency accuracy of their setups.
- Standard Interfaces and User – Friendly Display: The series is equipped with standard interfaces including USB Host, USB Device (USBTMC), LAN (VXI – 11, Socket, Telnet), and an optional GPIB (with part number USB – GPIB). These interfaces facilitate seamless integration with other devices and systems, enabling remote control and data transfer. The 4.3” touchscreen display simplifies operation, allowing users to easily configure settings, view waveforms, and access various functions.
